My LifeCam keeps saying to plug in the webcam even if it is already plugged. I have the webcam software installed. Can you help?

In order to fix the issue, go to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager, expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers and Imaging devices lists and locate the LifeCam entry. Next, right-click on the driver, select Uninstall and follow the provided instructions. After that, reboot your PC, connect the webcam using the USB cable and press Scan for hardware changes icon from Device Manager. If you still have issue, try running the Fix It utility provided by Microsoft.
